Employment Process

Thank you for your interest in the Dartmouth Public Schools. Dartmouth employs approximately 350 instructional staff and 250 support staff. All teaching staff are certified and approximately 46% have advanced degrees beyond their bachelors.
 
 

Application Process for Teaching Positions:

Interested applicants must submit the following documents for employment consideration (there is no application form).
  • Cover letter
  • Resumé
  • College transcripts
  • Copy of Massachusetts teaching certificate
  • Three letters of recommendation

Your application will be reviewed by the appropriate personnel to determine if your qualifications meet the posted needs. Selected applicants will be scheduled for the interview process. Not all applicants will be granted interviews.

 
 

Application Process for All Other Positions:

 

For school nurses, teacher assistants, substitutes, secretaries, cafeteria workers, custodians, and monitors, there is an application form and a CORI form that must be completed and submitted to the Administration office listed above. To download the appropriate application, go to the Application Forms web page. Not all applicants will be granted interviews.

  • Criminal Offender Record Information (CORI)
  • Fingerprinting
  • References 

Salary and benefits are administered in accordance with the respective collective bargaining agreements. Salaries reflect both experience and education.
